A unique teaching and learning tool developed by the Lakeland College team to encourage focus on the development of personal and spiritual growth. It is completely student centred reflecting the individuality of each homeopath-in-the-making. The aim is to encourage:

  • Self-reflection
  • A place to explore personal growth
  • A place to store "gems" of information that will eventually link together as part of a bigger picture
  • Academic and professional information which will form the foundations of your homeopathic practice
  • Reflective-practice
  • A place to acknowledge and let go of negative and limiting beliefs
  • A benchmark of your progress
  • An invitation to "do it differently"

You are encouraged to be as creative as you can be in your learning and in the expression of your inner journey. Healing is a holistic and creative process. It is alchemy. There are no right or wrong ways to heal, and there are no wrong ways of doing the journal, only different ways.

Support and encouragement are given throughout this process. Journals are as individual as the students who create them. Some are written diaries; some are sung or danced; some are drawn, painted or sculpted; some recorded; some stitched or even cooked!

Our team have the flexibility to adapt to individual learning styles, and you are encouraged to learn in the way that best suits you. Specialist support is available for students with dyslexia.

Learning journals are required as part of graduation criteria, but they are not assessed so much as appraised and celebrated.

The invitation is to be completely yourself... and to know that you are enough.
